Welcome, Observers

Why would an Observer use Together Off Grid?

Most dating apps reward a good photo and a quick swipe. Mention a plan for a long outage, a pantry or a well, and the conversation often ends there. Here those are the starting point.

Every member answers the same ten questions about land, faith, family, skills and pace. Each match comes with a score and the reasons behind it, so you meet people who already take preparedness seriously.

What does preparedness have to do with finding a partner?

A household that can ride out a long power outage needs two people who agree on the plan: how much to store, where to live, and who looks after water, power and first aid. The quiz asks about exactly that.

Skills count differently from everything else. Two people with different strongest skills, say one who grows food and one who keeps the power running, score higher than two people with the same skill.

Is there a founding region near Observer Ranch?

Yes. Observer Ranch is in Penrose, Colorado, inside our Southern Rockies founding region, which covers Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming. Observers anywhere in the United States can join, and you can choose to match nationwide if you are ready to move.

Homesteading in the Southern Rockies

How private is it?

  • Every member confirms an email address and a mobile number before they can see anyone.
  • Members see an avatar and a handle. Photos stay hidden until you both agree.
  • Phone numbers, emails, links and handles are removed from messages until you both choose to share contact.
  • A person reads every report, and asking for money is an instant ban.
  • Your profile is never shared with any other dating site.

How do I join as a founding member?

  1. Take the free Homesteader Type Test. It takes about three minutes and needs no account.
  2. Save your result and choose your region. That holds your place on the founding list.
  3. When your region opens, founding members are invited first, and your test answers carry into your profile.
